Use a waitlist to build demand
A sold-out show and a not-yet-live one share the same hidden problem: people want in and you have no way to reach them. A waitlist fixes that. It turns idle interest into a list you can sell to the instant tickets open, and turns scarcity into proof.
Capture the interest before it evaporates
Point a coming-soon or sold-out event at a form or popup that collects emails for the waitlist. The people who would have shrugged and closed the tab are now contacts, and a contact is a sale you can still make.
Release in waves
When you add tickets or announce a second date, email the waitlist first, before anyone else hears. The opening sales come in warm and fast, and the event looks like it is moving from minute one, which pulls everyone else in.
Use the list as proof
A long waitlist is social proof you can actually show. Mention it in your promo. Nothing makes an undecided buyer decide like the feeling that the room is filling up without them.
