Price your tickets without leaving money behind
Pricing is the one lever most organizers just guess at, and the guess is almost always too low. Price under the market and you sell out in a day for less than you should have made. Price over it and you stare at an empty room. The fix is to stop guessing and let tiers find the number for you.
Anchor with three tiers
Set an early-bird, a general, and a VIP. The early bird rewards your fastest fans, general is your real price, and VIP catches the people who will happily pay more. The spread is not just pricing, it is a live read on where your demand actually sits.
Use caps to read the room
Cap the cheap tiers so they can sell out and tell you something. If early bird vanishes in a day, your general price has room to climb next time. If general stalls, you are priced high. Every event quietly teaches you the right number for the next one, if you let it.
Decide who eats the fee
Per event, choose to absorb the flat fee or pass it to the buyer. Passing it keeps your full face value; absorbing it keeps the sticker price clean and round. Either way the rate is flat with nothing stacked on top, so the call is about psychology, not math.
