What each AI action costs
Credits are the one metered thing on adlens. Every price below is a starting price that rises with how much work the job actually took, and everything that is not AI work is free.
The price list
Chat message: 0.5 credits. Plan message: 1. Build message: 1. Make-it-Yours edit: 0.5. Image generation: 7, or 14 at 4K. Audio clip: 2. Video: 60 for an 8-second clip. Background or scheduled task run: 2. Visitor live-chat reply: 0.1. Site job: 0.5.
These are starting prices. A build that takes more work costs more than one credit; a quick answer costs what a quick answer costs.
Video is the platform's most expensive generation, so it always gets its price stated and an explicit yes from you before anything generates. Nothing else that expensive runs without asking.
Build credits and Run credits
Your spend splits into two kinds. Build credits are what you do in the Studio: chat, plan, build, generate, edit. Run credits are AI that runs without you: background and scheduled task runs, visitor live-chat replies, audits and digests.
The split matters when you read your usage. A workspace whose Run spend climbs is a workspace whose AI is working while the owner is not, which is usually the point.
Where credits come from
Three balances, spent closest-to-expiry first. Daily credits refresh at midnight UTC and never roll over: Free gets 10 a day capped at 75 a month, Pro 15 a day, Business 30 a day. Monthly plan credits come with a paid plan (Pro 150, Business 400) and roll over while you are subscribed. Purchased top-ups never expire.
Buying credits once saves your card, and an auto-reload toggle can refill the balance automatically when it runs low. The balance, the price list, purchase, and history all live on the billing page, and the usage page breaks spend down by day, by project, and by Build versus Run.
When credits run out
At zero, new AI work stops. That is the whole consequence. Every published site stays live and keeps serving, all your data is untouched, and the editor still opens for manual edits and publishing. Your site never goes down because your credits did.
Fresh daily credits land at midnight UTC, so waiting is always an option. Stock photo search stays free forever, so imagery does not have to stop with the credits. If a 4K image is what tipped you over, 1K and 2K cost half. And topping up on the billing page takes effect immediately.
