Import your Shopify customers and orders
Bring your Shopify customer list and order history into adlens from the two CSV exports Shopify gives you. You see a preview before anything is written, and the import is safe to run twice.
Get your files from Shopify
In your Shopify admin, export Customers and export Orders, each as a plain CSV file.
Import them
1. In adlens, open Orders or Customers.
2. Open the export menu in the table toolbar and choose Import from Shopify. On an empty Orders page the button sits in the middle of the page.
3. Choose the Customers file, the Orders file, or both.
4. If you have more than one site, pick the Site the orders belong to.
5. Press Preview. Nothing is written yet. You see how many customers and orders will be added, matched or skipped.
6. Press Import and watch the progress bar.
What happens to the data
Customers are imported before orders, so each order finds its customer.
A customer who already exists is matched, not duplicated. Customers with no email are skipped.
Orders that were never paid are skipped. An order whose number is already taken gets a new one.
Line items that do not match one of your products are still kept on the order, and the preview counts them.
Questions
Can I run it again? Yes. Each record is imported once, so a second run only updates.
What about products? Use Import your Shopify catalog for those.
