Create a product
A product is anything you sell that is not an event: a physical good, a service package, a digital download, a monthly subscription. This article covers every field a product carries, how drafts become live listings, and how to fix the usual first-day problems.
What a product carries
Every product has a title, a description, a price, and a currency. You can add a compare-at price to show the old price crossed out next to the new one, a category to keep your catalog organized, and SEO title and description fields so search engines describe the product the way you want.
If the product ships, turn shipping on and set a flat shipping rate. That rate is added at checkout on top of the product price.
Images work simply: add as many as you want, and the first image is always the cover. The cover is what shows on your shop grid, so put your best shot first.
Create it, then publish it
Open Products in your Studio and create a new product, or just tell the assistant what you are selling and it fills every field for you. Either way the product is created as a draft. Drafts are invisible to visitors, which gives you room to finish the images and copy before anyone sees it.
When it is ready, set the product active. That is the whole publish step: active products show on your shop, drafts do not. You can flip a product back to draft any time to pull it from the shop without deleting it.
Sell it as a subscription
A subscription is not a separate kind of product. It is the same product with a pricing interval: monthly or annual. Set the interval and buyers are charged on that schedule instead of once. You can also add trial days, so the first charge lands after the trial ends.
To turn a subscription back into a one-time purchase, clear the interval. Nothing else about the product changes.
What checkout costs you
Product orders carry a platform fee of 2% plus a flat 30 cents per order, computed on what the buyer actually pays. The rest lands in your connected payout account through secure checkout. There are no listing fees and no charge for keeping products in your catalog.
When it does not work
The product is not showing on your site: it is almost always still a draft. Set it active and it appears.
It shows on the wrong site: products are one workspace library placed on sites. A product with no placement shows on every site; use Show on to pick exactly which sites carry it.
The wrong image is the cover: the first image is the cover, always. Reorder the images or add the shot you want first.
Checkout does not go through: your payment setup is probably unfinished. Open Payments in the Studio and complete the secure payments onboarding, then try the purchase again.
