Get found by AI search
More and more people ask an AI instead of typing into a search box. Whether your business shows up in those answers depends on what AI crawlers can read on your site, and you control all of it.
What AI search reads
AI search engines answer questions by reading sites directly and quoting the ones that explain things clearly. The SEO audit checks the three signals that matter on your site: llms.txt, the file that tells AI crawlers what your site is about; structured data, the machine-readable markup that makes your pages unambiguous; and FAQ coverage, the direct question-and-answer content AI engines lift answers from.
Run the audit from the editor's More hub, under SEO & AI search. The AI search findings sit alongside the classic search findings. The platform provides llms.txt and structured data itself, so those findings pass on their own; FAQ coverage is the one that depends on your content.
Decide whether AI crawlers may read your site
Whether AI crawlers may read the site at all is a per-site toggle in Branding & SEO. Leave it on to be readable and quotable; turn it off and AI crawlers are told to stay out.
You can flip it from chat too: say block AI crawlers, or let AI read my site, and the assistant sets it for the site in question.
This is a real trade. Turning it off tells AI crawlers to stay out, and a crawler that honors it will not quote you, which also means AI search cannot recommend you when someone asks for exactly what you sell.
Give them something worth quoting
The audit's FAQ coverage finding reads your site's pages: it passes when a page carries an FAQ section and warns when none does. Question-and-answer content is what AI assistants quote most, because it is already shaped like an answer.
Press the finding's Fix button and the assistant adds an FAQ section to your site in chat. Feed it the questions customers actually ask: how buying works, what refunds look like, when you are open, what makes you different.
When it does not work
The audit still flags FAQ coverage after you wrote knowledge base articles: those articles answer your live chat, not this finding. The audit reads the site's pages, so the fix is an FAQ section on the site itself; press the finding's Fix button.
You went looking for llms.txt or structured data to write: there is nothing to author by hand. The platform generates both, which is why those findings pass on their own.
You blocked AI crawlers but expected to appear in AI answers: those two are opposites. If being quoted matters to you, turn the toggle back on in Branding & SEO.
You show up nowhere yet: AI engines crawl on their own schedule, and a young site takes time to be discovered. Get the audit's AI search findings to pass, keep publishing real answers, and give it time.
