When you get paid
Different kinds of revenue release on different clocks. Here is when each one pays out, and how to read the payouts summary so gross versus net never surprises you.
The standard clock
Standard payouts default to about 2 business days after a charge. That schedule is configurable on your connected payment account, so if yours pays weekly or monthly, that is a setting on the account itself, not a platform rule.
Event revenue is held until after the event
Ticket revenue for an event is held and releases 2 days after the event ends. This protects buyers: if an event is cancelled, the money to refund them is still there. Plan cashflow around it. If your event is six weeks out, ticket sales from today land about six weeks from now, not this Friday.
Deposits and instalments have their own clocks
Course deposits and instalment charges each carry their own release clock, separate from the event's. A deposit paid in March does not wait for a course that ends in June: each charge releases on its own schedule.
Reading the payouts summary
The payouts summary rolls up gross, net, platform fees, a processing-fee estimate, refunds, average order value, and unique customers. The relationship between the first two is the one to memorize: gross minus refunds minus platform fee minus processing fee equals net. Net is what actually lands in your bank account, and it is the number that matters for cashflow.
You can also just ask the AI assistant. It reads the same rollup and will walk the gross-to-net math for any window you name.
When the money seems late
Sold tickets but no payout: check whether the event has ended yet. Ticket revenue releases 2 days after the event ends, not 2 days after the sale.
Net looks much lower than gross: walk the math. Gross minus refunds minus platform fee minus processing fee equals net. The payouts summary itemizes each piece, so you can see which one took the bite.
A payout on a schedule you did not expect: the payout schedule is configurable on the connected account, so check what yours is set to on /app/payments.
A deposit or instalment released on a different day than the event's ticket money: that is by design. Those charges carry their own release clocks.
