How buyer checkout works
Your buyers never leave your page to pay. Checkout opens in a modal on the event or store page itself, tickets arrive three ways, and everything the buyer receives wears your brand.
In-modal, on your page
Checkout happens in a modal on the event or store page using embedded payment elements. There is no redirect to a hosted checkout page on someone else's domain: the buyer picks their ticket or product, the payment form opens over your page, and they pay right there. The address bar never changes, and neither does the trust that comes with it.
How tickets arrive
After payment, tickets deliver three ways at once: a QR code for the door, a printable PDF, and an email with everything in it. A buyer who deletes the email still has the ticket page, and a buyer with no signal at the venue can hand over the printed PDF.
If the payment confirmation is slow to land, a backstop poll keeps checking until the order confirms, so a slow network does not turn a paid buyer into a confused one. The tickets show up as soon as the confirmation does.
Everything wears your brand
Receipts, ticket emails, ticket pages, and return links are branded and addressed by the site the buyer bought on. If a site has its own branding and sender identity, that is what the buyer sees; where a site has not set its own values, they fall back to the workspace's. Buyers on your domain get email from your name, not from a platform they have never heard of.
When it does not work
A buyer paid but says they have no ticket: give the confirmation a moment, the backstop poll is likely still catching up, then have them check their email including spam. The ticket also lives on its ticket page and as a PDF, so the email is one of three copies, not the only one.
Pending orders are piling up in your orders tab: pending means the buyer opened checkout but never completed payment. A few is normal cart abandonment. A sudden spike at the same timestamp is worth a closer look, since it can mean the payment form failed for buyers at that moment.
Checkout will not load at all on a paid event: check /app/payments. If charges are not enabled on the workspace, paid checkout cannot run, and the fix is finishing payments onboarding.
A buyer's receipt shows the wrong brand: the buyer bought on a site that is falling back to workspace values. Set that site's own branding and sender identity and future receipts will carry them.
