What your workspace assistant can do
The assistant is not a help widget that explains your dashboard. It is a pair of hands that runs it. If a thing can be done in your workspace, you can usually just ask for it by name.
It acts, it does not instruct
The assistant's standing rule is simple: if a tool exists for something, it does the thing and reports what it did. It will not tell you which page to open or which toggle to flip. Ask for a discount code and you get a discount code, not directions to the discounts page.
The only places it steps back are the ones where it is not allowed to act, like moving money, and there it explains the state and hands you a button to the right page.
What it can create and change
It has full create, read, update, and delete over the working parts of your dashboard: events and their ticket types, products and collections, discounts, forms, popups, pages, posts, sites and their themes, short links, and slide decks.
That covers the everyday asks in one message each: make a 25 dollar ticket for Friday, add three variants to a product, take that page offline, spin up a new site, switch this site to the Wren theme, put every training product into a Training collection.
What it can read
It reads your live numbers: sales, leads, site traffic, event attendance and check-ins, course enrollment and deposits, payouts, and the build status of your sites. Ask how the week went and it answers from the real data, and tells you where the number came from.
An empty result is a real answer too. If you had no orders this month, it says so plainly instead of dressing it up.
Names, not ids
You refer to things the way you actually call them: the NYC sessions, the comedy show, my contact form. The assistant resolves the name to the right record itself. You never need an id, a slug, or a URL to point at your own things.
When it seems unable to help
If the assistant declines an action outright, you are most likely on a money surface: refunds, payouts, and payment account changes are never done through it, by design. It will hand you a button to the right page instead.
If a commerce action it used to do seems to have vanished, check Plugins, then the Stripe card's permissions: a tool set to never there is withheld from the assistant entirely. Set it back to always or ask.
If a change landed on the wrong site, tell it which site you mean by name. In a workspace with several sites it works on the site you have open, so naming the target removes the ambiguity.
And if it reports that something failed, believe it: it is built to say exactly what happened rather than claim success. Ask it to retry or to explain what it needs from you.
