Why the assistant asks you to confirm
Some actions are cheap to undo and some are not. For the ones that are not, the assistant cannot act on its own judgment: the server holds the action until you press Confirm.
The confirm gate
Deletes, domain switches, theme replacement, and unpublishing are server-enforced confirmations. When the assistant tries one, the server withholds the tool and a Confirm button appears in your chat. The assistant tells you plainly what is about to happen, and only your press lets the action run.
This is not the assistant being polite. It is a hard gate: the assistant cannot talk its way past it, and neither can a cleverly worded request.
Once per batch, not per item
Bulk actions confirm once for the whole batch. Ask it to delete ten old draft pages and you get one confirmation naming the ten pages, not ten separate buttons. You always know the size of what you are approving.
Expensive generation states its price
Video generation costs 60 credits for a clip, by far the most expensive thing on the platform, so the assistant always states that price first and waits for your explicit yes. A re-roll needs a fresh yes.
Images cost 7 credits, or 14 at 4K, and do not need a confirmation, but the assistant never runs a batch of them without being asked to.
Tune it per tool
You can tighten or loosen the gate for commerce tools yourself. Open Plugins, then the Stripe card, then Manage my agent's permissions. Each commerce tool, creating and updating products, variants, images, discounts, and fulfilling orders, can be set to always, ask, or never. Deletes can be set to ask or never.
Always lets the tool run without a prompt. Ask adds the same Confirm button as destructive actions. Never withholds the tool from the AI entirely, so the assistant cannot use it at all.
When confirmations behave oddly
If the assistant announced an action and nothing happened, look for the Confirm button in the chat: the action is waiting on you. After you press it, the assistant runs the same action and reports the result.
If a commerce action gets a confirmation you find tedious, its permission is set to ask. Switch it to always in Plugins under the Stripe permissions and it runs without prompting.
If the assistant says a tool is unavailable for something it should handle, that permission is set to never. The tool is withheld entirely at that setting, so flip it back to ask or always first.
