Free events and RSVPs
Free does not mean unmeasured. A free event on adlens takes RSVPs, captures every guest as a lead, and still issues real QR tickets you can scan at the door.
How RSVP mode works
A free event runs in RSVP mode: the guest claims a spot, nothing is charged, and no card is asked for. Every RSVP is captured as a lead in your workspace, so a free show still builds your list. That list is yours to keep.
The guest experience mirrors a paid ticket. They RSVP on the event page and get a ticket by email with a QR code, ready for check-in at the door.
A $0 tier on a paid event
You do not have to choose between a free event and a paid one. Add a $0 tier to an otherwise paid event, comps, press, members, and that tier goes through the free RSVP path regardless of the event's ticket mode. The paid tiers keep charging normally beside it.
Fees on free tickets
Free and RSVP tickets always carry a $0 platform fee. Nobody pays anything for a free ticket, not the guest and not you.
When it does not work
An RSVP did not charge the guest: correct, and by design. Any $0 ticket goes through the free path. If you meant to charge, set a real price on the tier.
I cannot find my RSVPs: they are leads. Check /app/leads, or ask the assistant "how many RSVPs does my event have".
I want to know who actually came, not who RSVP'd: that is what check-in answers. Scan tickets at the door with /app/checkin and the attendance report shows RSVPs versus scans. Free events routinely see no-shows, so scan even when nobody paid.
