Recurring events and series
A weekly comedy night should not mean building the same event ten times. A series creates one event per date in a single pass, tiers included.
What a series creates
A series creates one event instance per date, up to 30 dates. Every instance shares a series id and the same details: title, description, venue, lineup, all of it. Each instance gets its own date-suffixed slug, so every show has its own page and its own link.
Each instance also gets its own copy of the ticket tiers. Tickets for June 6 and tickets for June 13 are separate inventories with separate counts, which is exactly what a door needs.
When to use one
Use a series for anything that repeats: a weekly comedy night, every Friday in June, a run of shows across a month. Tell the assistant the dates and the tiers ("run this show every Friday in June, $15 GA") and it builds the whole run at once, confirming the date list with you first.
Drafts, like everything else
Series land as drafts by default, same as single events. Nothing in the run is public or sellable until you publish, so you can build the whole month and review it before a single ticket goes on sale.
When it does not work
I need more than 30 dates: 30 is the cap per series. Create a second series for the next stretch, a quarter at a time works well.
I changed a price and only one date updated: expected. Each instance owns its copy of the tiers, so a tier edit belongs to that date alone. Edit each date you want changed, or ask the assistant to apply the change across the run.
One date needs a different lineup or venue: each instance is a full event of its own, so open that date's event manager and edit it there. The other dates stay untouched.
