Create your first event
An event on adlens is a full public page with checkout built in: buyers pay in a modal on the page and get a QR ticket by email. Here is how to build one, what every field does, and what publishing actually changes.
Where events live
Your events live at /app/events. Create one from /app/events/new, or just tell the Studio assistant what you are running ("make an event for Saturday, $25 tickets") and it builds the event for you, then hands you a link to manage it.
Every event gets its own public page at /<event-slug> on your site. Checkout happens right there in a modal, no redirect. When someone buys, their ticket arrives by email as a QR code, with a PDF download on the confirmation. The older /events/<event-slug> address still resolves, so old links keep working.
What an event holds
Beyond the title, date, and price, an event carries a short summary (the subtitle under the title), a full description, the venue name and address, an age restriction, a refund policy, and a video. You can also add a lineup: performers in billing order, each with a name, an optional role, a photo, and a link.
The flyer and event photos use the same image system as products. Upload a flyer and it becomes the face of the event on your site and in ticket emails.
Once the event exists, /app/events/:id/edit is the event manager, where tickets, broadcasts, and everything else about the event is edited. /app/events/:id/preview shows you the public page exactly as a visitor will see it.
Drafts, publishing, and paid events
New events are drafts by default. A draft is private: it is not on your site and nobody can buy a ticket. Nothing goes live until you explicitly publish.
A paid event has one extra gate: payments. Until your workspace can accept charges, a paid event stays draft, because a live paid event without payments connected just breaks at checkout. Connect payouts at /app/payments first, then publish.
When you do publish, check the public page once yourself. It takes a minute and catches the typo in the venue address before a thousand people see it.
When it does not work
The event is not showing on my site: it is almost certainly still a draft. Open /app/events, find the event, and publish it. Draft is the default on purpose, so nothing sells before you say so.
I published a paid event but checkout fails: your payment setup is not finished. Go to /app/payments and complete the secure payments onboarding until charges are enabled, then try the public page again.
I need to change a field after publishing: everything on the event is editable in /app/events/:id/edit, or ask the assistant to change it. There is no field that locks after publish.
