Student payment plans
A payment plan turns tuition into a deposit plus scheduled instalments that charge themselves. You define one template per course, each student's schedule freezes the moment they agree, and the platform deliberately has no late fees to configure.
One template per course
You define a single plan template per course in the event editor: a deposit plus N instalments, weekly or monthly. That is the whole configuration surface. Students who want the plan agree to it on the public course page.
Keep the template honest to what you actually want to collect, because it is the offer every student of that course sees.
The schedule freezes at consent
The moment a student agrees to the plan, their schedule is frozen as a snapshot. Editing the template later changes what future students are offered, it never changes an existing student's plan. You can raise tuition for the next cohort without touching anyone already enrolled.
This also means fixing a template mistake does not fix students who already consented to the wrong numbers. Catch template errors before the first student agrees.
How charging works
The deposit is instalment zero. After that, each instalment auto-charges the student's saved card on schedule, and every successful charge lands as a normal order in your finance views. You do not run the charges, the schedule does.
There are no late fees and no interest, and that is by design, the platform makes them impossible rather than optional. Your lever for non-payment is pausing the student's access while they are past due, which you can turn on per course. A plan moves through pending_deposit, active, and completed, and can sit in past_due while a failed charge retries, or end up canceled or defaulted.
Students serve themselves
Every student manages their own plan at adlens.pro/plan/<token>: they see their schedule, update the card on file, and retry a failed charge themselves. When a student emails you about a declined card, the answer is almost always to point them at their plan link, they can fix it without you.
When it does not work
A charge failed and the plan shows past_due: the platform retries, and the student can also retry immediately from adlens.pro/plan/<token> after updating their card. If they stay past due, pausing access is the pressure the system gives you, there is no late fee to add.
You edited the plan and a student's schedule did not change: that is the freeze working. Consented schedules are snapshots. If an existing student genuinely needs different terms, handle their plan in the dashboard rather than editing the template.
You cannot find the Payment plan section in the event editor: payment plans are included with paid plans and switched on per workspace. If the section is missing on a course, your workspace does not have the feature enabled yet, contact support.
You want to add a late fee or interest: you cannot, deliberately. Pause access on past due is the intended lever.
