Let your agent run your Meta ads
Your agent runs your Facebook and Instagram ads. You approve every campaign before it goes live. Meta bills the ad spend to your ad account.
What it does
Tell your agent what you want to sell or fill. It plans the campaign, writes the ads from your own photos and videos, and builds it in your Meta ad account, switched off. Nothing goes live on Facebook or Instagram until you approve it.
Once a campaign is running, your agent checks it once a day. After the first three days it pauses ads that spend without results, swaps in a fresh ad when people have seen one too often, and stops the campaign when your event starts or your goal is reached. You get one line a day with the spend, the results and the cost of each result.
Requirements
You need a Meta Business Manager, an ad account in it with a payment method, and a Facebook Page. An Instagram account linked to the Page is optional, and so is a Meta pixel, which lets campaigns aim for purchases on your site.
Planning and drafting campaigns works on every plan. Launching them is part of Pro.
What gets connected
Go to Settings, Meta Ads Manager and choose Connect Meta. You sign in with Facebook and choose the business, the ad account and the Page your agent may use. If you share more than one ad account or Page, you pick which one your agent uses on the same page after you connect, and you can change it later.
Your agent uses the Instagram account linked to that Page and the pixel that fired most recently. If something is missing, the page shows a row that opens the right screen in Meta to fix it.
Review and approve
When your agent has a campaign ready, it asks you in the chat. The request shows what the campaign is for, the daily budget and the dates. Approve it and your agent switches it on in Meta. Dismiss it and nothing runs.
Your agent never switches a campaign on or raises a budget on its own. Both always wait for your approval. It can lower spend on its own, for example by pausing an ad that is not working.
Budget and billing
Set a daily spending limit in Settings, Meta Ads Manager. Your agent's campaigns never run above it, not even when you approve one, and your agent checks Meta's own numbers to pause anything that goes over. If you have not set a limit, your first approval sets it to the daily total then running.
Ad spend is billed by Meta to your ad account, not on your plan, so keep an active payment method in Meta Ads Manager. Your agent's own work uses credits from your plan: 1.5 credits to build a campaign and 0.5 credits a day for each running campaign's check in.
What your agent does not touch
Your agent only changes the campaigns it built. Campaigns you run yourself in Meta Ads Manager are never edited, paused or switched on.
If you switch off one of your agent's campaigns in Ads Manager, your agent notes it and leaves it off. If you disconnect Meta, your agent's running campaigns are paused first.
Troubleshooting
Ads not delivering after you approved them: check that your ad account has a valid payment method in Meta Ads Manager, that the campaign fits under your daily spending limit, and that Meta has not flagged an ad under its advertising policies. If your ads target countries in the European Union, Meta does not run them until advertiser and payer information is added in your Meta business settings.
Asked to reconnect again and again: Meta signed the connection out, which happens when a password changes or access is removed. Connect again from Settings, Meta Ads Manager, and share one business, one ad account and one Page. Make sure the Page belongs to the business you choose. Your running ads keep going while you reconnect.
